A Game of Two Halves – Premier League Summer 2012
In 2012, there were quite a few transfers within England’s football teams. A Game of Two Halves: Premier League Transfers, Summer 2012 depicts the transfers, spending of the English clubs, and the effect it has on social media. The infographic denotes that £475 million were spent during the transfer window, with Chelsea spending the most at £55 million on just two players. With all of these trades, only six out of 20 teams made a profit from their transfers. The infographic also explores the result of the trades in a player’s social media followers. Most notably, Mousa Dembele’s followers increase 350% due to his move from Fulham to Tottenham Hotspur.
