This infographic provides internet usage statistics, including that currently 39% of the world’s population uses the Internet. In 2013 it is estimated that 41% of households will have an Internet connection and that by 2017 we’ll add a billion more Internet users. The tendency for Internet usage is trending toward mobile phone usage, with an estimated 8.2 billion mobile Internet users by 2017. Additionally, it is estimated that mobile browsing will become more popular than desktop browsing. New Internet users will likely be from China, India, Indonesia and Africa.
